What Vinfarm checks — and what it does not guarantee
A badge only appears when Vinfarm has actually done that check. Here is exactly what each one means.
Vinfarm has checked this farmer or supplier by a farm visit, a video verification, or a completed deal through Vinfarm. It is a check of the source, not a guarantee of each animal or item.
The photos show the actual animal or item on offer, not stock pictures. For livestock we ask for 3–5 recent photos (preferably no more than 7 days old) and a short video.
Vinfarm confirmed with the supplier in the last 3 days that it is still available.
Vinfarm can arrange transport. Transport is quoted separately, based on the actual trip.
A veterinary examination was done for this animal. Shown only when a vet check actually took place.
How payment works — no find, no fee
Tell us what you need. Searching costs you nothing.
We send you the price, actual photos and the Vinfarm sourcing fee.
By M-Pesa, to reserve it. We ask the seller to hold it for you.
At handover you check it first, then pay the seller the agreed price directly.
If it is not as described when you inspect it, or the seller cannot deliver, we refund the Vinfarm fee or use it for your next search. If you change your mind after it has been reserved for you, the fee is not refunded. Transport is quoted separately when Vinfarm arranges it. Full Marketplace terms
What Vinfarm does
- Reviews every listing before it is published — there are no open seller stores.
- Asks suppliers for actual, recent photos and video.
- Asks for available vaccination, deworming and health records for livestock.
- Confirms availability with the supplier before making you an offer.
- Agrees the price, transport and collection or delivery details with you before you pay.
- Replies to every request within 24 hours.
What Vinfarm does not guarantee
- That an animal is medically certified, unless it shows the Vet Checked badge.
- The future health, production or breeding performance of any animal.
- That every request can be found — a reply is an update, not a promise of supply.
- Vinfarm does not hold money for sellers — you pay the seller yourself, after inspecting.
